Healing & nurturing superfoods

As mentioned Glorious Greens contains green superfoods like wheatgrass, spirulina, spinach and nettle leaf. All of which are incredibly healing and nurturing superfoods that will support your body’s natural ability to cleanse and detox.

Wheatgrass is commonly and widely used to improve digestion, boost the immune system, aid arthritis and eliminate toxins. This superfood has both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it a bit of a therapeutic superfood. Wheatgrass is also rich in iron, calcium, enzymes, magnesium, phytonutrients, vitamins, 17 amino acids, plant protein and chlorophyll (this is what makes wheatgrass green). Research has also shown that wheatgrass may help with anxiety and boost cognitive function.

You have probably heard of spirulina as it is one of the most nutrient dense foods on earth. It has a beautiful blue-green color due to the antioxidant phycocyanin. Spirulina is known for boosting brain function and reducing inflammation. Research also suggests that spirulina may fight certain cancers, is effective against anaemia and soothes allergic rhinitis. This glorious superfood is also rich in vitamin B2, B3, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium and manganese.

We all know spinach, a wonderful vegetable and superfood bursting with nutrients. Spinach is good for eye health, it may prevent certain cancers and it fights oxidative stress. This superfood is also rich in vitamin A, C, K1, folic acid, iron and calcium which do wonders for bone health, skin health and the creation of haemoglobin (bringing oxygen to the body’s tissues).

Then we have nettle leaf, a healing old herbal medicine staple, used by ancient Egyptians and the Romans to reduce inflammation and treat arthritis. Nettle leaf contains a myriad of vitamins: vitamin A, C, K and several B vitamins. This ancient herb also contains minerals, polyphenols, carotenoids and amino acids that have antioxidant effects. It is believed that nettle leaf can treat hay fever, support liver health and help wound healing.

Lastly, we have chlorella. Chlorella is what gives plants their beautiful green color. Chlorella contains vitamin B12, iron, vitamin C, magnesium, zinc, copper, potassium, calcium and folic acid. This glorious superfood is particularly known for its detoxifying effects, as chlorella binds to heavy metals. Research also suggests that chlorella can boost your immune system, and it contains antioxidants that may help fight chronic diseases.

Glorious Greens also contains wholegrain oats, which are rich in fiber, pea protein, banana, lemon juice, which is full of health boosting vitamin C, and psyllium husk, which is a wonderful source of fiber.

Our Glorious Greens Plantshake really is a concoction of some of the world’s most potent green superfoods, and your body will thank you for making this shake a part of your daily routine.

  • Hej,

I am excited as I just made my first purchase. I am wanting to focus on my gut and overall health. Do you have recommendations on how to best use this as a detox? What else should be eaten with it? How many a day. Any suggestions would be great!
